How to add and manage the Custom Fields used for Time Sheets

You can access the Time Sheet Custom Fields setting in the Control Panel to add and manage Custom fields to store additional information about time sheets.

To access the Time Sheet Custom Fields setting, click the following icon.

This will open the following form.

Time Sheet Custom Field Types

SI has 32 Custom fields for time sheets.

  • 5 Text fields, with a character limit of 300.

  • 3 Long Text fields, with a character limit of 1000.

  • 5 List fields, where you can add the options to the dropdown list.

  • 5 Number fields, with 2 decimal places.

  • 5 Date fields

  • 5 Boolean fields (Yes/No)

  • 4 Hyperlink fields

Add and Manage Time Sheet Custom Fields

To add a new custom field for time sheets:

1/ Click New.

2/ Select the type of field.

Over time, you will see how many fields are already in use and how many are available.

3/ Add a name for the field.

4/ To reorder the fields, use the Move Up button and the Move Down button.

5/ Click Save.

List Fields

When adding a List type field, you can click Manage in the List section in the menu and add the options that should be displayed in the dropdown.

You can use the Move Up button and the Move Down button to order the options and set the case of the text in the options.

Using Time Sheet Custom Fields

The custom fields added for time sheets are shown under the Custom Fields tab in all time sheet types: Project, Task, Service Order, and Company. You can add the value for the fields when adding the time sheet or editing its details.

Time Sheet Custom fields are also seen and can be updated in Mobile Install. The data in these fields will synchronize with SI.
