You can access the Checklists setting in the Control Panel to add and manage checklists.

Checklists can be used to define a list of to-dos associated with a project, task, or service order. They can also be used to add planning tasks in a project's Gantt view.

To access the Checklists setting, click the following icon.

This will open the following form.

Consider the following before you start adding checklists.

  • A checklist can be a flat list of to-dos, or you can have a hierarchy of up to three levels.

  • The items in a checklist can be promoted, demoted, or moved up or down in the checklist.

  • The checklists created in the Control Panel are global and available for all users.

  • Once a checklist is added to a project, task, or service order, you can modify the items in it to make them more specific to that project, task, or service order.

Add and Manage Checklists

You can add as many checklists as you would like to.

To add a new checklist:

1/ Click New.

2/ In the form, do the following:

a/ Add a name for the checklist.

b/ Click the New button to add a new task. (Optional: give it a name and role.) When a checklist is added to a project or its Gantt View, the item will be assigned to the resource(s) assigned to the project with the corresponding role.

c/ Repeat step b if you want to add multiple items at the same level.

d/ If you want to add a child item, select the item and click New Child.

e/ Repeat step d if you want to add multiple child items under parent items.

3/ Click Save.

Move and Promote Items

If you want to reorder a checklist, open it. You can move items up or down the list and even change their hierarchy levels by promoting or demoting them.

Import from CSV

If you have an existing list of to-dos in a CSV file, you can click Import From CSV and import them to SI.

You can also export an existing checklist as a CSV file.

Checklists in Projects

You can add one or more checklists created in the Control Panel to projects. Then, you can edit the added checklist to make it specific to a project and update the items in the checklist based on their completion status.
