You can use the Vendor Custom Fields setting in the Control Panel to add and manage the Custom fields to store additional information about vendors.
The custom fields for vendors can be displayed on Custom reports.
To access the Vendor Custom Fields setting, click the following icon.
This will open the following form.
Vendor Custom Field Types
SI has 24 Custom fields for vendors.
5 Text fields
5 List fields, where you can add the options to the dropdown list.
5 Date fields
5 Boolean fields (Yes/No)
4 Hyperlink fields
Add and Manage Vendor Custom Fields
To add a new custom field for vendors:
1/ Click New.
2/ Select the type of field.
Over time, you will see how many fields are already in use and how many are available.
3/ Add a name for the field.
4/ To reorder the fields, use the Move Up button and the Move Down button.
5/ Click Save.
List Fields
When adding a List type field, you can click Manage in the List section in the menu and add the options that should be displayed in the dropdown.
You can use the Move Up button and the Move Down button to order the options and set the case of the text in the options.
Using Vendor Custom Fields
The custom fields for vendors are shown under the Custom Fields tab in the New Vendor form.
You can add value to a field when adding a vendor or editing their details.
Vendor Custom fields can also be added to the CSV file used to import vendors to SI.
