You can compare two revisions of a project to see the differences between them. Differences can be items that were added, deleted, or modified.

1/ In the Project Explorer, select the project whose revisions you want to compare.

2/ Click the Revisions tab in the bottom section of the Project Explorer interface and click the Compare button.

The following form will open.

3/ Select the two revisions you wish to compare. You can also choose whether to compare only price changes (the most common option) or both price and cost changes.

4/ You can choose to compare cost and price changes or connection changes, such as wire connections in Visio or AutoCAD.

Cost and Price Changes

This example compares cost and price.

The Project Compare Editor will open.

This displays all of the changes between the two revisions.

In the example above, there are items that have been removed and added. A third possibility would be adjusted; for example, you modified the price of an item between the two revisions.

5/ You can filter to any of the change statuses from the Change Status section.

6/ You can run reports via the Reports tab. You can run any report against this comparison data.

If you upgraded from a previous version of SI and had customized Change Order reports, they will be displayed under the "Client" category.

7/ Run any report you wish. The following is an example of a Proposal with Images report grouped by location.

Connections Compare

If you want to see a view of the wire connections that have changed between revisions, you have the option to view the comparison by Wires.

These would be changes made on drawing pages in Visio or on Schematic pages in AutoCAD.
