You can use the Update From D-Tools Library feature in Project Editor to compare differences in fields for products and labor items in the project with those in D-Tools Library.
Use the Update From D-Tools Library feature when you want to see if any fields have changed in D-Tools Library after you downloaded and modified the products. This feature matches the Manufacturer and Model fields. This feature accounts for any manufacturer aliases and any phase mappings you have set up.
Select the product(s) or labor item(s) that you want to update and click Library > Update From in the Catalog tab.
You will see the Update Items from Library modal with the items that require an update.
Use the Options button to choose which fields of the items in the project will be updated from D-Tools Library.
The following are the options.
Option | Description |
Ignore blank product field values | This is selected by default.
Deselecting this will overwrite the manually updated product fields in the project with blank values if those fields currently have blank values in D-Tools Library. |
Download product thumbnails | This is selected by default.
Deselecting this will prevent product thumbnails from being downloaded if they don't exist for the products in the project. |
Download product large images | This is selected by default.
Deselecting this will prevent large images from being downloaded if they don't exist for the products in the project. |
Update vendor partner price | This is not selected by default.
Selecting this will update the price-related fields for products to their corresponding values in the D-Tools Library.
Price-related updates sometimes take longer than usual for many products. If you want to update prices, we recommend selecting only the products that need an update and initiating the Update From D-Tools Library workflow for those products. |
After the update from D-Tools Library, the updated fields will only exist in the project. You may want to do an Update to the Catalog if you wish to make the updates global for future use.
