You can use the Assign feature in Project Editor to update the location, system, and head end simultaneously for multiple products. You can also use this feature to reassign items in a pending change order to another one.

To use this feature, select the products you wish to update and then click the Assign button on the Tools tab in Project Editor.

You can select from the following: Location and System, Location, System, Head End, or Change Order.

Depending on what you select, a different interface will open.

Location and Systems

Click Assign in the Tools tab and click Location and System, Location, or System.

In this example, you will see the Assign Location and System form.

The Location and System form should be used only if every product selected will be assigned to the same location and system.

If, for example, you have multiple products selected that you wish to assign to a location, but all are in different systems, you should select the Location option from the list, not Location and System.

Wire Length, Head End, and Terminals

Click Assign in the Tools tab and click Head End.

The following is the Assign Head End and Bulk Wire Length form.

If you want to specify the length, head end, and terminals of a wire, select the wire, scroll right to the respective cells, update them, and click Assign.

If you want to specify the same length, head end, and terminals for multiple wires, select them and click Update.

In the Update Wire modal, specify the length, head end, and terminal, and click Update.

When done, click the Assign button.

Change Orders

The following is the Change Order form.

Here, you can reassign items from a pending change order to another pending change order.

The Change Order option will display under Assign only if you are working on an approved project with pending change orders.
