How to run and use the PoE Items Report

The PoE Items report displays data related to the PoE associations you have made for a project.

Header

Here, the company name, phone number, project name, client name, project address, report name, modified, and revision information are displayed.

Body

The body of this report displays PoE equipment from a project and shows the associations between PSE (Power Source Equipment) and PD (Powered Device) equipment.

The following are the columns.

Column

Description

Type

This designates a product as a PSE or a PD.

Power Budget

This displays the power budget for PSEs in Watts.

Port Utilization

This displays the percentage of available power used based on the Watts assigned to all associated PDs.

The calculation is (Total Watts of Associated PDs) / (Power Budget of the PSE) * 100.

Class Utilization

This displays the percentage of available power used based on the maximum Wattage of the minimum. Poe Class assigned to the ports for all associated PDs.

The calculation is (Total Maximum Watts of the Min. Poe Classes of Associated PDs) / (Power Budget of the PSE) * 100.

PSE Terminal -

Port ID -

Watts

This displays the Watts for PDs.

PSE Terminal

This displays the Terminal and PoE Standard for the port on the PSE to which the PD is associated.

Port ID

This displays the position Port ID for the output of the PSE that the PD is associated with.

The Port ID is the numerical position of the output in the I/O list for the PSE.

Component ID

This displays the Component ID for the PSE or PD.

Location

This displays the assigned Location for the PSE or PD.

Name

This displays the concatenated fields of Manufacturer: Model for the product.

There are Report Settings for changing the background color of associated PDs and a setting to determine whether All, Associated, or Just Unassociated PoE equipment will display on the report.

Page Footer

Here, the project number and page number are displayed.
