The Line Item Detail With Margin report is similar to the Line Item Detail report, but without the margin. This report is intended to be an internal report.
The following is the layout and the fields in the report.
Body
In the body of the report, there is a page header graphic and a group header graphic for the first grouping.
These can be changed via report themes.
In the image below, the report was run "By Location."
The fields that print for each item are Quantity, Manufacturer, Model, Description, Cost, Price, Profit, and Margin.
At the end of each grouping, there is a subtotal.

At the end of the last grouping, there is a Project Subtotal.
If you are using miscellaneous items, they will be listed after the Project Subtotal.
Use tax is not included in the cost fields of this report by default. There is a Tax Setting if you want to include Use tax with your cost.
Project Summary
The last page of the Proposal reports, by default, lists the totals for Equipment, Labor, Tax, and then Grand Total.
If you have miscellaneous items in the project, they will be listed after the Sales tax line since these are not taxed.
If you use price adjustments, these will be displayed in the Project Summary section.
Customizing Project Summary
You can customize the Project Summary section via the Report Settings in the Control Panel and the Report Definition feature.
Change the Wording of Adjustments
You can change the wording of each of the adjustments via Report Settings.
Break Out Labor by Phase
You can break your labor out by phase via a setting in the Report Definition.
Each phase will be listed on separate lines, and if you use the Management and Design fields for your phases, they will be combined into one line item, each with the totals from each phase.
Show Discount
If you are using product-level discounts, by default, they will not show here in the Project Summary section.
You can display the discount here via a setting in the report definition. You can change the wording of this field via Report Settings.
Separate Taxes
You can choose to separate your sales tax from your labor sales tax and change the wording of these fields via the Report Settings.
Page Footer
Here, the company name, project name, project number, and page number are displayed.
