You can use the Insert Alternate Shape feature to add a second shape for a product to a Visio page. This can be used to show an alternate shape of a shape, e.g., a Line Image shape.

To use this feature:

1/ Select a shape on a Visio page, right-click, and select D-Tools > Shape > Insert Alternate Shape.

You will see the Insert Alternate Shape form.

2/ Choose whatever shape you want and then click Select.

You have the option of assigning this shape as the default shape for the product, category, and subcategory if you wish.

In this example, I chose the "Line Image" shape.

The alternate shape is now displayed on the Visio page.

Note that this shape is not replacing the original shape; it just adds another shape for the same product, i.e., the component ID is the same, and no new products were added to Project Editor.
