Insert Alternate Shape allows you to add a second shape for a Product to a Visio page. This can be used to show an alternate shape of a shape, e.g. a Line Image shape.
To use this feature, select a shape on a Visio page, right-click, and select D-Tools > Shape > Insert Alternate Shape.
The Insert Alternate Shape form will open.
Choose whatever shape you want and then click Select. You have the option of assigning this shape as the default shape for the Product/Category/Subcategory if you wish.
In this example, I chose the "Line Image" shape.
The alternate shape is now displayed on the Visio page.
Note that this shape is not replacing the original shape, it just adds another shape for the same Product, i.e. the Component ID is the same and no new Products were added to the Project Editor.
