You can use the Shape Display Settings feature to get relevant project and product information by hovering the cursor over any D-Tools SI shape in Visio. If a specified field is blank for the shape, it will not show up on the shape.

This is very helpful for checking the location, system, and other important information.

The Shape Display settings are specific to current Windows users, meaning each user can have their own settings.

To access the Shape Display settings, click Manage Shapes > Display Settings.

You will see the Shape Display Settings form.

  • Select the text on the left side of the interface and use the arrows to move over to the right side.

  • Use the vertical arrows to rearrange the order as needed.

The fields you select will show up on the shape during a mouseover.
