You can access the Server Profiles setting in the Control Panel to add the connectivity and login details of multiple SI Servers you want to connect to from your SI Client.

Use Cases

Internal employee working on projects across multiple office locations, each with their own SI Server

John Doe is a Visio Designer working from the New York office. He has to work on projects that salespeople from the New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles offices bring to the company. Each of the three locations has its own SI Server. John Doe can add each server's connectivity and login details as different server profiles. He can then connect to a specific SI Server and work on the projects in that office.

Third-party company working on projects for multiple customers who use SI

Design. Inc. is a Visio Design Services company that provides expertise in Visio-related work for construction projects. They use SI for managing projects. The SI users at Design. Inc. can add the connectivity and login details of their customers' SI Servers and work on their projects.

For both use cases, you should ensure seamless connectivity between the SI Client and the SI Server by allowing them through firewalls, VPNs, or other networking software.

To access the Server Profiles setting, click the following icon.

This will display the following form.

Prerequisite

For every SI Server profile you want to add, you will need the login credentials of the "First Administrative User" on the server.

Add and Manage Server Profiles

You can add as many new server profiles as you would like to.

  • Connect via Azure Active Directory - used when you have enabled Azure Active Directory (AAD) for SI.
