To add items to quotes in the Mobile Quote app, you will need to build your Mobile Quote catalog in SI and synchronize it with Mobile Quote. This way, every Mobile Quote app user will have access to the items in the catalog.

To build the Mobile Quote Catalog:

1/ In SI, click Start > Mobile Quotes > Manage Mobile Quotes.

By default, all categories, subcategories, and packages are set to Include, meaning they will be synchronized to Mobile Quote when you click Save or Save and Close.

System

Here, you can assign the category, subcategory, or package to a system, and the items in it will be considered as "Suggested Items" when adding items to that system in the quote.

Price/Quality Level and Labor

Here, you can choose to do one of the following:

  • Select Calculate Price Automatically, and allow SI to automatically set the Good, Better, and Best pricing for the category or subcategory using the 20/50/80 method, and set the mean of the labor hours of the items in the category or subcategory as the labor hours.

  • Deselect Calculate Price Automatically and specify the Good, Better, and Best pricing and labor hours.

Check out this article for more details about how SI calculates the Good, Better, and Best pricing using the 20/50/80 method.

Pricing and labor hours do not apply to packages. However, you can manually change the pricing and labor hours.

Also, while building the catalog, you can use the following options to be more accurate and save time.

Mass Update

You can select multiple categories, subcategories, and packages and click the Mass Update button in the ribbon to mass-update the fields for them in one go.
