You can update your SI Server and SI Client when updates are available.
Here are some things you need to know about updating the server and clients.
Not all releases require an update to the server and client; most are just client updates.
If an SI release includes server and client updates, you cannot update the clients until you update the server.
Once you update the server, all other users will need to apply the update to their client machines to connect to the server.ย Thus, updating should be a coordinated event within your company.
When updates are available for the SI Client, you will see the following notification when you open a client.
SI Server Updates
Before updating your SI Server, we highly recommend that you do the following:
To update your SI Server:
1/ Open SI Server Manager and click Check for updates.
If there is an update available, you will be prompted to download and install the update.
2/ Click Next and follow all onscreen instructions, including the confirmation step.
After installing the update, you will be prompted to configure the SI Server.
Here, you will see the summary of the configuration.
3/ Click Next and follow all onscreen instructions to complete the update.
SI Client Updates
Once your SI Server is updated, you can update each of your SI Clients. If you are opening the SI Client for the first time that day, you will be prompted to update it.
1/ Click OK and start the update, or click Start > Help > Check for Updates.
You will see a screen similar to the one below.
2/ Click Next and follow all onscreen instructions to complete the update.
