You can access the Task Settings in the Control Panel to set your preferences for SI tasks and Gantt tasks created in SI.
To access the Task Settings, click the following icon.
This will open the following form.
The following are the SI task settings.
Setting | Description |
Include Miscellaneous Hours in Tasks | This setting determines whether Base and Miscellaneous Sub-Labor Type hours should be included for items added to tasks.
Default = Yes. |
Default Task Duration (Hours) | This will set the default duration for tasks created in Task Explorer and for planning tasks in the Gantt View.
Default = 8.00. |
Automatically update % Complete based on items marked as installed in Tasks | This will update the % Complete field based on the items marked as "Installed" on tasks relative to the total hours for all items on the task.
This setting will also be applied to tasks published to Mobile Install.
Default = No. |
The following is the Gantt task setting.
Setting | Description |
When planning tasks are 100% percent complete clear predecessor tasks | This setting determines how SI should treat tasks with predecessors applied to it when the successor task is 100% complete.
Default = Never.
Retain Never if you are using or plan to use predecessors of the SS (Start-to-Start) type, or the SF (Start-to-Finish) type.
The other options are:
Prompt - Use this when the predecessors are of any type, just as a safer option, so you can permit the deletion of predecessors only when the predecessor tasks are 100% complete.
Automatic - Use this when you only use predecessors of the FS (Finish-to-Start) or the FF (Finish-to-Finish) type. |
