Computer Ease is an accounting software used by Construction and Security companies. The integration between SI and Computer Ease allows customers to streamline the accounting process and eliminates double data entry.
You will need to know a few things before using this integration.
If you want to use this integration, email api@d-toolshelp.com requesting access to this particular integration, and we will enable it for you.
You will need to run/generate a custom report provided by D-Tools to extract project data. You will then need to import the generated report to Computer Ease.
Computer Ease Report
D-Tools already has a custom report for Computer Ease that we provide when enabling the integration. The report pushes project totals, broken down by a Custom field (CF2 by default).
You will need to let us know if the report should be modified to meet your current utilization of Product and Labor custom fields, and we will send you the modified report.
Import Computer Ease Report
Do the following to import the custom report for Computer Ease.
1/ In SI, go to Start > Reports, then open Manage Reports.
2/ In the Report Explorer, click on Import > File.
3/ Import the Computer Ease report you downloaded in step 2.
The Computer Ease report is now part of your SI reports.
You can click Export > Server to export this report to the server and share it with other users.
Export Projects
To export the data of an SI project, you will need to run the Computer Ease report for the project, save it as an Excel file, and import the .txt format of the Excel file into Computer Ease.
