The SI integration with Box allows you to share and sync project-related files to a folder within your Box account. Files only sync from SI to Box, and not Box to SI. Files must be added using the Add feature in the Project Explorer and not manually added to the SI project's folder to be a part of this sync.

This feature was released in Hotfix 5, build 21.23.1735.0, of v21. To see this feature you must update both your SI Client and SI Server.

You will need a Box account and then enable this integration to SI. You will also need to designate a hyperlink-type Project Custom Field for the path to the unique Box folder for each Project.

1/ Double-click the icon and the following interface will open.

2/ Click the Connect to Box Online File Storage button and the following form will open.

3/ Follow the instructions on the form and then click the Done button. You have now enabled the integration.

4/ Click the "Map Custom Field" link and then choose a hyperlink-type Project Custom Field to store your path for the project-specific folder in Box. The field you choose will be renamed to "Box URL".

5/ You also have the option to add/remove file extensions to designate which type of files you want to sync between your SI Project Folder and Box folder:

6/ When done, close the form.

When creating Projects, on step 10 of the New Project Wizard, you can paste the path to the project-specific folder in Box:

You can also add this path at any time within the Project Editor via Open->Information.

If you don't manually enter a URL in this Project Custom Field, on check-in (assuming there are files to upload) a folder will be created automatically in Box with the path D-Tools Projects\[Project GUID], and the Custom Field will be populated with a URL (in Box naming format) that corresponds to this folder:

If at any point you need to manually share files that you have added to the SI Project Folder to Box, you can use the Send To->Box Online File Storage feature from the Files tab in the bottom section of the Project Explorer. Example: .vsdx files are not a file extension that you generally sync with Box but need to share a Visio file with a non-SI user who has access to Box.
